travel & accomodation
Pylos, Greece

Our venue is located a 50-minute drive from Kalamata International Airport or a 3.5-hour drive from Athens International Airport. From the airport, there are rental cars, taxis and public transportation that can take you to Pylos, we advise you to pre-book transportation to avoid long waiting times as Kalamata is a small airport.
We recommend you stay in the beautiful town of Pylos, a 25-minute drive from our venue. On our wedding day, we will organise a pick-up and drop-off from Pylos to our venue and back, we, therefore, recommend you stay in one of the hotels listed below or other accommodation nearby.
If you have any questions or need help booking travel and accommodation please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
*NOTE: If you are interested in booking with Hotel Anezina, Hotel Philip, or Karalis Beach Hotel, please let Meg know soon. She has reserved rooms at these hotels and there is limited availability. Meg’s email is Megangiulietta@outlook.com.
Other hotels and vacation rentals (including villas and apartments) are available with nice options to suit various requirements. Be aware, however, that bookings may not be entirely straightforward:
(1) Not all local rentals/hotels can be found on the usual booking platforms (e.g., Airbnb, Booking .com), so you may wish to do your own online browsing/searching.
(2) Some rentals/hotels are not yet listing availability for June, in which case we suggest you contact the establishments directly.

Other gatherings and activities
• There’s plenty to do in the Pylos area, as suggested by this quick Google AI overview: Pylos and its surrounding area offer a mix of beaches, historical sites, and natural attractions. Key highlights include exploring the Niokastro and the Museum of Pylos, visiting the nearby Palace of Nestor and the historic Methoni Castle, and relaxing at famous beaches like Voidokilia Beach and Gialova Beach. Nature lovers can also explore the Gialova Lagoon and the Polylimnio Waterfalls. For a day trip, check out the ancient Greek city of Messene.
• Pylos itself is an easy place to meet up with other wedding guests for coffees, meals, and expeditions. It is small and picturesque, with a nice central square (Three Admirals Square) next to the harbour, with cafes and restaurants.
frequently asked questions
Q: Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
A: The ceremony, dinner and after-party will all be outside.
Q: What will the weather be like?
A: Late June is a great time to visit Greece. You can expect lots of sunshine, highs of 28 degrees Celsius and lows of 19 degrees. In the evening it can get a bit chilly so bringing a jacket would be advised.
Q: Are kids welcome?
A: Yes! We understand that you'll have to travel for our wedding and we won't make you leave the kids at home, but please let us know if you are bringing kids under the age of 5 and if they need a high chair for dinner.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes! We love colour and would love to see you in your most colourful outfit on our special day. Please do not wear white as the bride is wearing white.
Q: I have a food allergy, what can I eat?
A: Please let us know about any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note this wedding will be nut-free as we have multiple attendees with a (severe) nut allergy.
Q: Can I bring a date?
A: Please let us know if you want to bring a date, our venue has a limited number of guests, which has resulted in a smaller guest list, therefore we might not be able to allocate everyone a plus 1.
Q: Is there a gift registry?
A: Your gift is your presence! However, if you feel like being extra generous we would kindly appreciate a donation to our honeymoon fund.
Q: Will there be other events during the weekend?
A: We are going to organise a cocktail hour for the Friday afternoon (19th of June), further information will be shared in the next few weeks.
